Back to April! The following day, after the Oak Glen/Resurrection Sunday weekend, we were off to Norco to go horseback riding for Timothy's 7th birthday! His actual birth date was Tuesday, but we went Monday so the Estradas could join us!
Timmy had been looking forward to this day for some time, as this was his first time ever riding a horse!
The guys didn't get a lot of pictures of Timmy actually riding but they had a great time!! He was very happy to go riding with his Uncle and cousin! See that smile!;)
While the guys rode, us girls went to a nearby park.....Sliding! We had a lot of fun sliding on all the slides regardless of our size, and before we knew it, it was time to pick up the guys!
Coming back from their ride!
The birthday guy and Matthew! Very happy riders!
Evie and Rachel hanging out with some handsome men..;)
A group picture!
Some wild people...;)
The guy who owns the stables was really nice and let the little girls ride in the yard for a few minutes!
Emily next to the sign.....
Rachel enjoying her turn!
One more picture with the sign!:)
Playing with the birthday boy! Our Timbo is growing up!
After that we all headed back to the park to play and eat a hearty lunch!
Daddy went to visit his aunt who was in the area, from Canada, while the guys rode, but joined us for lunch afterwards.:)
A full table, complete with pizza, apples, tangerines, chips, sandwiches, soda, juice boxes, lots of eager conversationalists and laughter! We enjoyed flying Uncle Victor's kite later and rolling down the grassy hills before heading home!
The next day, Tuesday was Timmy's actual birthday and we had another BBQ.:) It started to sprinkle, so the guys pinned a tarp across the top of the table and used part of a light stand to hold it up!;)
After our BBQ Timmy requested a movie which we watched, and then it was time to eat his cake! He had been waiting all day for it!;)
Happy Birthday, Timmy!:)
Daniel made him this very special portrait etched in wood, which he gave him that evening!
I think it is safe to say he liked it!!:D Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
