Washington Roadtrip: Days 8-13

From Monday till Friday morning we went camping at the Big Fir Campground in Ridgefield a few miles away from the Brimlows home! This was a really lovely place to stay and an answer to prayer as we had not been sure where we'd be staying until the wedding on Saturday.

Because of our family's size we had a "group spot" and used the shade structure to hang our laundry on....

We went swimming at Salmon Creek Park part of the time.....
Natey goes for the licorice!;)
Three men ready to swim! How fast they are growing up!
The lake....
Playing in the refreshing water!
Evangeline LOVED swimming.;)
Joshua busy at work making sand angels.....
Brothers having fun...;)
Timothy really enjoyed playing in the sand more than swimming....
Yogurt and berries.....
 Evie and her big brother....
Another one of the days we visited a fort and museum.....
Beginning the audio tour-reminded me of another audio tour we took last year at a mission with some special people.;)
The blacksmith shop was our favorite place. Timmy got to help the blacksmith demonstrate how a beaver trap works and he really enjoyed it.
Exploring the lookout tower....
We all looked pretty funny with our headsets but it was a lot of fun...
We visited the Pearson Air Museum after that which was very exciting! The fort had a sign saying the museum was free on certain days of the week and the Lord had us there just at the right time!;)
The Air museum was inside of an old hanger-very neat!
DH-4 wing panel and aileron....
Back at camp......
Trying out Caytlin's new birthday present....
Evie in her chair looking at The Way Things Work....
One of the night's Momma did a game night for us kids...
Playing limbo....
And of course each night we ended with a fire, s'mores, talking and singing....
This was the highlight of each day. We all have our own camping chairs now too, which is a real blessing!
I love this picture! Caytlin is telling Evie to stay seated!:P
Sleeping in our tent....
We enjoyed the camping experience and Friday morning came quickly. We packed up the van and headed for our next destination. Some friend's of the Brimlows kindly opened their house up to us so we drove over to their home that afternoon and enjoyed a good night's sleep prior to the long awaited for happy event the next day!
