This was a last minute adventure. Uncle Victor had come over to drop off a tripod for Ryan. He said, "Hey it's Chick-fil-a Appreciation Day and free Slurpees on 7/11 at Seven - Eleven, you should go". It took some coaxing, but in the end we were glad we went. Thanks Uncle Victor.:)
We decided it would be easier to wear the cut- outs on a hat, especially when it came to the eating part. We used lots of safety pins and some thread for our sign. But alas, the wind was against us part of the time, and untwisting thread is no easy job. **Note to self : Keep twine on hand.
Dad met us after work and we gave him his costume as well. The website had print out costumes, including cow face, ears, spots, tail and this sign.
Poor Evie, we got soo busy cutting and pinning that we forgot to give her a nap.
The kids really enjoyed the mascot. Timothy kept giving it hugs. These guys really showed family spirit! We miss you Ashley and Daniel!!!
The children each received a free kids meal with drink and the adults got a free entre. These are really hearty chicken sandwiches, and the sauce is really tasty.
Evie slept through the whole meal, but thankfully she woke up as we were leaving. She was content to see the cow. When we were dressing earlier, she kept mooing over and over like a cow. Guess all that mooing made her tired. She enjoyed her food on the way home.
Then a quick stop over at the nearest Seven- Eleven for a Slurpee. Timothy was funny, he thought the name of the store was Slurpee. :)
There is Ryan slowly returning to his regular skin color.
Miss Evie got her first Slurpee. She liked it. Timothy did too, however he took too large a sip and got "Brain Freeze." Not fun.
Well, that sums up our adventure. Hope to have more to share with you soon. LOVE AND KISSES TO OPA, who faithfully reads our blog!
O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. Psalm 34:8
