Back in August we had some friends of ours over for dinner-the Patterson family! Our families met back when Daddy and Mommy were expecting Caytlin and they were expecting Elijah-who are now both 14.:) Since there were lots of different dietary restrictions we did a" make-your-own-taco-salad bar!" It was a very yummy and colorful dinner!! We enjoyed seeing them again and visiting-some of the younger kids were quite young when we last saw them.:)
Our outside "dinning room."
Daddy and Mr. Patterson visiting in the front yard...:)
While Mommy and Mrs. Patterson visited on the patio....:)
We had dessert shortly before the family needed to go and it was a job to keep the kids from helping themselves to the whip cream-Isaiah here is out to thwart my serving system-he likes to do that.;P
The following Friday, we had a birthday party for Grandma!! It had been awhile since we'd done something like that for her so this was a very important mission to accomplish! It required the phone calls, meal preparations, and organizing that one has to have when more than twenty people will be present, but praise the Lord, we were able to pull it off very well!!:D
Once again we had our "buffet table.";) This time it was "build-your-own-nachos!!
The patio tables were set, we turned on the lights and set out candles especially for Grandma!:)
Grandma now has 17 grandchildren!! 7 boys and 10 girls. It's safe to say that the guys are outnumbered in this family!:P We like to joke and say that God made up for the boys in our (Sebo) family! Here's Timmy and Joe waiting for dinner with their three girl cousins, Lindsay, Samantha-Jane and Sophia.
Caytlin and Janelle:)
Grandma really enjoyed having most of the family there!
Daddy, Uncle Dan and Ryan....and yes, we like to go barefoot a lot!;)
the dinner crowd.;)
A group massage started here-something Grandma really likes!:)
Mommy and the kids enjoyed the sidewalk chalk!:)
Aunt Rocio made the cake-here we are singing to her....
Posing for a picture!:)
Uncle Victor joined us later!:) It was such a nice time to be able to be together as a family and Grandma really, really, enjoyed having most of the grandchildren there. She was very pleased with the party-mission accomplished!;)
It's been neat to see how far God has brought each of her children, and how He is working in their lives for good as well as their families. We look forward to seeing what He has in store for our families and the added blessings of the future!:)
"Sing to God, sing praises to His name; extol Him who rides on the clouds, by His name YAH,
And rejoice before Him. A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy habitation. God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity;
But the rebellious dwell in a dry land."
Psalm 68:4-6
