Fun Around The House:)

Our family tries to keep a schedule but, we find that the funnest times happen when they aren't planned....:)

Caytlin found this old curtain needed use and so, it has become one of her favorite shawls.:)

Daniel likes to get creative on hair cutting days. Since the boys have such thick hair, the floor recives plenty of clippings.:) This day, Daniel decided to create some "hair" attachments. The results were quite good and Natey took up the art as well.

Another time, the boys had fun dressing up and re-enacting the story in Judges about King Eglon and Ehud.

Thanksgiving 2010

This is the home of the "Lady Marion Brimlow" affectionately known as Mama Brimlow.:) Her husband Ken (who has now gone to be with the Lord) and she raised six children in this house, along with a multitude of "spares." Over the years, this home has been a refuge and a place of comfort and happy fellowship to hundreds of young people. One of them was, Mama who spent many happy Sunday afternoon's having lunch, jumping on the trampoline, and singing hymns around the piano.

This year our family had the privilige of sharing a meal in this special home once again. Now it is different as all of the children have grown up and their children are getting married. The six children, have had a total of nineteen children with two great-grandchildren so far.

The number of guests was around forty-one. This is the longest table we had ever eaten at.:)

Costco and card tables were set up along the length of the house.

Socks were required for the new flooring and Joshua lost one somewhere between church and the house.:) So, a spare was needed.....

After dinner we played the "Gift Exchange Game." Everyone get's a number. When your number is called you choose a gift and unwrap it. The next number may take a gift from the pile or take your gift, then you would choose another gift from the pile. A remote control helicopter was the most popular gift along with some shotgun shells. Two gag gifts were brake pads and a car air filter!

This special day was a glimpse of what it will be like in Heaven when we all sit down together and have a meal that Jesus Christ himself will serve us!

When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound and time shall be no more,

and the morning breaks eternal bright and fair.

When the saints on earth shall gather over on the other shore,

and the roll is called up yonder I'll be there!

When the roll is called up yonder,

We'll be filled with joy and wonder,
