Visiting the Tostadas, Cowboys and Labor Day

Ok! So we have the computer back up and running.:) Now for a catch-up post, somewhat.....

A few weeks ago, Uncle Victor and Aunt Kim invited us over for dinner. We live a few blocks away so we walked. We enjoyed a delicious dinner of meatballs, rice with pineaple topping, watermelon and apple juice. It was very yummy! (Thank you Uncle Victor and Aunt Kim!)

Uncle Victor set up a few tables in their front yard so we could all sit together. :)

Timmy loved playing in this car.:) He was so excited to drive it. He took one bite of his dinner and then ran off to do so! I got him back in his seat, only to have the scene repeat itself all over! This happened several times. Finally, he decided that he'd better finish his food or he wouldn't be allowed to leave his seat.:)
After dinner the kiddos headed off to play legos. Something they never seem to tire of.:)

We enjoyed visiting with Uncle Victor and his family again! (It's amazing how fast the little one's have grown!) We were thankful to be able to spend time them and had a great evening.:)

The below set of pictures are from another day and were to cute to pass up!:)
I don't think it's a secret that our boys love to dress up and pretend to be cowboys. So, as usual the younger ones catch on and copy their older brother's example. The result is below:

Now to jump ahead to Labor day. This year we attended our church's game and barbeque at Murdy Park, once again. Only a few of our family members played softball this year.

We usually spend the rest of the afternoon playing different games like frisbee, volleyball and basketball or relaxing and talking. I did not get any pictures while playing frisbee but, Daddy wanted to use my camera to get a few shots of the vollyball game going on.

Toward the end of the day, the Pau family hosted a get together at their house with snacks, games and cheesecake. So, we spent the rest of the evening at their home playing "Catch-Phrase" and "4 On A Couch." We had a great time and the latter game provided alot of excitment and laughs for the evening.:) Thank you to the Pau family for such a special evening!

Daniel's Birthday

Last Tuesday we celebrated Daniel's 14th birthday. Wednesday was the actual date but, we celebrated it on Tuesday, so we wouldn't miss the prayer meeting. This was the last time we would go before our passes expired. It was very hot but, we still had a good day!:)
While Daddy and the older ones rode the coasters, Mama, Isaiah and I rode the stagecoach with the little ones! It was especially fun as they put us on the top. They usually put younger ones inside the coach but, this time we got a special treat being able to ride on the top. That was very fun!:)

Later, Joshua, Isaiah and I rode the Log Ride, while we were waiting to meet up with Daddy and the older ones. Here we are going down the main drop.:)

Timothy was overdue for his nap , so we found a shady spot to rest.
Little man....
We decided to have lunch and wait till it cooled off before returning to the park. This particular ride costs extra and we had never tried it yet. Daddy found out that with our passes we could get a discount for the "Screaming Swing." Ryan and Isaiah were the two chosen and they really enjoyed it!:)
There's a small patch of grass with some trees near the park and so after lunch we sat there and the children enjoyed some popcorn we brought from home. There are chickens that run wild around there and so the children were soon feeding a mother and her chicks. This attracted some other children and they were soon laughing and enjoying the whole scene.
Later we entered the park again and finished the evening with some more rides and sight-seeing.

Wednesday, we had a special birthday lunch for Daniel before we left for prayer meeting. Caytlin and Mama helped me prepare the lunch and set the table, while Daniel and Ryan rode to Trader Joe's to get us some eggs we needed. We ended up eating outside as most of the children had been swimming.

Happy 14th Birthday Daniel!

Daniel John Sebo
July 14, 1996

Daniel is really growing into a man! It has been neat to watch him during this stage in life. He prides himself in the fact that he is now officially taller than me.:) Daniel is always eager to try new things and his creativity is such a gift from the Lord. He has been working on his chalk art skills and the results are quite amazing! He enjoys climbing trees, hiking, camping and being out doors. He is probably the most adventursome of us all and loves to take on daring challenges! He also enjoys skating, roller blading, scootering, biking and free line skating. Swimming and researching are also some of his favorite past-times. Daniel is a good worker and he's really sweet with the little ones. He offers of his time and energy to play with his younger siblings. He has a great sense of humor and keeps us laughing. He is sharp and very witty. We are so grateful for our dear Danny-Boy, he's such a blessing to our family!

Happy Birthday, Daniel!! We love you! May The Lord bless you!!

Favorite Verse:

"Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them."
