October Review
The month of October was a very full but exciting one!!:) We kept busy with homeschooling, house cleaning, church activities and preparation for the coming baby!!:D
Mom decided that it would be a good experience to have the younger children try growing tomatoes in their own little gardens. So after a trip to the store, some baby plants, soil, and wood planks were bought, we began to work! Setting up a border for the garden boxes....
Handling the plants gently....
Digging a hole for Evie's tomato plant.....
Now for some water, and then patience...;)
Back in August, the Lord had led our family to attend a new church, in Newport Beach, Liberty Baptist. The doors were wide open and we were able to be a part of the church for seven months. During that time, we really enjoyed being very involved and the Lord gave us so many opportunities to serve along side the people there! We made made new friends and were very blessed by the people there! In October, our family really enjoyed attending their missions conference! It was a fun and challenging week of fellowship, encouragement, and becoming better informed about the missionaries' fields and getting acquainted with them as people! It was also a very busy week as a new little Sebo arrived!:)
Pastor Thompson, interviewing the couples on Saturday evening, the first night of the conference!Visiting the missionary tables....:) There was much to see and learn about!:) This table belonged to a young lady, Susanna, who was getting ready to go to Indonesia and she had some Indonesian instruments she let the kids try out!
Susannna and Caytlin.:) We girls really enjoyed visiting and hearing her testimony of how the Lord led her to pursue missions. Over the course of the week we enjoyed lots of conversations, and discovered that Susanna had recently come from visiting churches in Alaska and had stayed in the home of some mutual friends of ours, the Englands! It is funny how small the Christian circle really is!
The children were encouraged to have missionaries as heroes, rather than worldly champions or super heros. The church gave out booklets for all children to get signed by the missionaries. Evie especially enjoyed this and was getting one from a missionary names Abram Thomas-church planter in LA.
The conference started Saturday afternoon and continued Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights. We were able to have dinner with the missionaries during the week nights and fellowship more on a personal level.:)
Turning her completed booklet in to Mr. Cyprian for a prize
A squishy toy!
Visitng with the Kellers (police chaplain's for Pomona PD )
The Boscos, missionaries to Sri Lanka......
It was really neat to see missionary families of all sizes!:) The Jarvis family are serving in Honduras and working with an orphanage that is greatly understaffed.
Johnny Esposito, a veteran missionary to several different countries in the 10/40 window and currently working to take a team to China.
Trying out the drums with Susanna....
We really enjoyed meeting the Boscos! They had been on deputation and were heading to Alaska as one of their last places to share in churches before heading to the field. Mr. Bosco was excited to be visiting Alaska and said he was hoping to get to go ice fishing.:)
Good fellowship...:) Mommy was very ready to have her baby here!!!:)
Tuesday evening, amidst the hustle and bustle of the conference, little Hannah Elizabeth Sebo was born!! She was a healthy 6lbs, 7 oz. and measured 19 inches!:) While the guys stayed home with the kiddos, Caytlin and I were both able to be present at the birth with Daddy, which was very special!
Praise the Lord for a safe and healthy delivery!:)
Caytlin's first time witnessing a birth.......she also got to cut the cord, which was a neat experience for her!
Waiting to meet the new little sister.......the expressions show how hard it was to do so.;)
Meeting Hannah....
Evie was SO very happy with her new little sister!:D She had waited eagerly for months for this day and now it was finally here. After many conversations about it all, she finally got to meet "her baby"-it was love at first sight.:D A precious moment...:)
Hannah had 9 eager siblings wanting to hold her and multiple cameras and devices recording the special visit!!:)
Squeezing the whole family in for a picture!!:D How blessed we are!!
Hannah getting her first bath early the next morning....:) I was able to stay the night with Mommy and Hannah in the hospital. Here she and I were hanging out together while Mommy freshened up.
Our first visitor for the day, was our assistant Pastor Mr. McMains
Oma and Aunt Drana.....
And of course the siblings were back to see their new little sister.;)
Another sister for Timmy to look out for...;)
Hannah's looks like our sweet Joshua!:) She's got his beautiful blue eyes!:)
Aunt Cio and Sophia......Sophia was pretty excited to meet and hold her new cousin!:), The Thomas family, surprised Mom by coming to see Hannah! They had moved some years ago out of state and we had missed them greatly! We knew they had moved back to CA recently but hadn't had an opportunity to get together with them, so this was a real treat!:)
Savannah, Bethany and Christie Thomas......They had all grown so much since the last time we saw them!;)
Christina and Miguel were visiting when the Thomas family came so we had a bit of a reunion! The older Sebo kids and Christina have fond memories with "Brother Brian", before he got married!:)
Mom was able to go home that evening which was a real blessing.. She likes to get back home as soon as she can.;)
Spending time with Daddy at home.....:)
Daddy's company gives several days off with the arrival of a new baby to it's employees, which has been a real blessing over the years. When he got back to work, he was warmly welcome back with these streamers and a tricycle( left top corner) made of diapers, and spit up cloths!.;)
The first official visit Hannah made outside of the home, was to meet her great grandpa!:) He was so happy to meet her.:)
The Great Grandparents Georgia (GG) and Esubio (GGP) SevilliaFor You formed my inward parts; you covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.
