Panasonic Day 2010

Thursday, Ryan, Daniel, Katie, Isaiah and I went to work with Daddy. Once a year his company has a "Take Your Sons and Daughters to Work Day."

It was neat to see what Daddy does everyday at work and all the different jobs that make up one company. We enjoyed hearing from select employees about their jobs, and what exactly was required of them during their day at Panasonic. After that, we were taken on a tour around some of the company buildings.

At eleven o'clock we were given an hour of time to spend with our parent in whatever way we wished. For us Sebos, we headed to Daddy's office where he wanted to get some work done. We got to say "Hi" to Uncle Frank, Mark and George (Daddy's boss and co-workers) and watch as Daddy did his correcting and such.

We all gathered into the lunch room around noon and enjoyed Subway sandwiches.

Daddy....looking good!
After lunch the schedule had two more activities and a game.

Daniel was the artist for his team:)
Katie and Ryan's team
Isaiah's team. The lady in the grey sweater was our team leader, she actually used to attend our church, years ago. It was a surprise to see her!:)

We really enjoyed being able to spend time with Daddy and see what he does. It made me especially grateful for all the hard work he does while he's there and helped me to have more understanding and sympathy for him when he comes home very tired. We are all grateful for his willingness to go to work and have Mama stay at home with us so we can home school! Thank you, Daddy!

A Visit and Birthday Party

Grammie and Grampie came over a few weeks ago for a visit! We had, as always, a very fun and special time! Grammie taught Mama and I how to make egg rolls and some of the younger ones helped with the preparation.Grampie is working on making us a custom computer desk. Here he is taking measurements.

Grating and talking...

I think Grampie got better pictures than we did but, I had to post some! We had a lovely afternoon with them and time flew by too fast! It was really fun to learn how to make egg rolls and my favorite part is folding them!:) (Thanks, Grammie and Grampie for the wonderful visit!:)

Exciting things happen every once in awhile....

This little baby possum wandered into our yard the Saturday following Grammie and Grampie's visit and it created alot of excitment as well as fear with the younger ones. I just grabbed a few shots and then we left the little guy alone.

To more recent times, last Saturday, some of us girls threw a surprise party for Sarah Pau. It took alot of work to pull it off as Sarah kept inviting us over throughout the week. The Lord worked things out well and we were able to pull it off without the least suspicion!:) We had a very fun afternoon and really appreciated all the work that Mrs. Pau, Nichole and Joanna did to make it possible!

A Delightful Surprise!

There's nothing more refreshing and delightfully, surprising than to find two very dear friends at your back door! This was the case yesterday and we were thrilled to see Uncle Daniel once again! To top it off, there standing beside him was Auntie Cheryl, who we had not seen in a long time!!:)
Auntie Cheryl:)
The joy of godly fellowship:)
Visiting....

One of the things that amazed me about the visit was how perfect the Lord's timing is! Mama and I have been really learning to trust the Lord. (This has been a major lesson especially for me!) Even when certain situations seem hopeless or we just don't understand, we need to continue to trust the Lord through it all! This same lesson was exactly what Auntie Cheryl and Uncle Daniel were experiencing back in Washington and the way we were able to relate so well was simply hilarious!:)

One thing we always do on our visits with Uncle Daniel is read scripture, share what the Lord has been teaching us lately, and finally, pray together: Presenting our requests to the Lord and asking for the direction and grace to do what He gives us to do! (This is indeed true fellowship! Realizing that what draws us together as believers is the Lord in each other!!:) This is the attraction and bond we should share!:)

Of course, being named after him, Daniel always gets a special picture with Uncle Daniel!!:)Ryan and Uncle Daniel:)

As Auntie Cheryl said," My friend, My sister!"Uncle Daniel, myself and Auntie Cheryl

Still visiting...

Mama, Uncle Daniel and Auntie Cheryl:)

It was such a special time of encouragement and fellowship! I hope that we can experience more visits just like this one: centered on Christ!!:)

"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, running down his beard, the beard of Aaron, running down on the edge of his garments. It is like the dew of Hermon, descending upon the mountains of Zion; for there the Lord commanded the blessing-life forevermore."

~ Shadow Of The Cross~

Last Friday evening, our church choir presented Shadow Of The Cross-an Easter Cantata that we have been working on since the middle of February. Johnathan, our choir director, and Emily, the pianist, spent much time practicing with us, trying to perfect each of the songs over the months. The evening went very well! Praise the Lord!:) It was such a special time to really focus on what the Lord did for His children at Calvary. What joy we as Christians, have knowing that "Christ is Risen" and He is alive and is in Heaven preparing a place for us!!:) Hallelujah!:)

Since Daddy was a reader in the Cantata and Ryan and I sang in the choir, I asked Timmy Stevens to take pictures. Therefore, all photo credit goes to him!:)(Thank you so much, Timmy!!)

The Cantata consisted of a total of eleven songs: Lift Him Up, Hosanna, Search Me, Shadow Of The Cross, When I Survey The Wondrous Cross, Beautiful Hands, At The Dawning, Crown Him, Through The Eyes Of Christ, Higher Ground, and Joyful, Joyful.

I thought I'd post words from some of the songs that I really enjoyed. I hope they will be as thought-provoking and heart-stirring for you, as they were for me.

Lift Him Up

God forbid that I should boast,
Save only in the cross,
All my works and righteousness,
I count them all but loss.

The Savior bought my pardon,
When He died and took my place,
Through Victory, at Calvary,
I'm forgiven by His Grace.

Lift Him up! Lift Him up!
Lift the name of Jesus, high!
Lift Him up, Lift Him up!
Let His praises fill the sky!
Jesus Christ, with nail-scarred hand,
Reaches out to every land.
Hallelujah To the Lamb!
Lift Him up!

At The Dawning

He's alive! He's alive!
Christ arose and He's alive!
Now the chains of death are broken,
They have vanished in the night,
Jesus blood paid the price,
Satan's power has been denied.
I could see the tomb was empty,
At the dawning of the light!

Let us then be faithful,
Seeking out the lost.
Telling them of Jesus,
Lifting up the cross.
Boldly give the Gospel,
Share Salvation's plan.
He will do as He has promised,
Jesus Christ will come again!

Through The Eyes Of Christ

From the heart of God the Father,
To the desperate need of man,
Came the Son to bring forgiveness,
from above.

Who will take this Gospel story,
To the souls who've never heard?
Who will love them,
As the Lord Himself would love?

Let me see the world,
Thought the eyes of Jesus.
Let me hear the voice,
Of the people lost in sin.
Let me feel the touch,
Of the hurting reaching out for hope.
Let me see the world,
Through the eyes of Christ.

Jesus I do now surrender,
Take my burden as you own.
Help me show the love of Calvary,
By Your grace.
Break my heart for those around me,
Let the love of Jesus flow.
Help me see the need,
That's written on each face!

Afterwards, we all enjoyed pizza and visiting with family and friends who had come to watch the Cantata.
Isaiah, Markie, Jimmy and Ricky at a game of ping-pong.

The pizza's arrival:)
Fellowship:)

We thank the Lord for the opportunity we have to share the Gospel ( Christ's Sacrifice and Resurrection) through music! Praise the Lord for our gift of Salvation and His love for us!!:)

Then they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, "Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when he was still in Galilee, saying, "The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again." Luke 24:5-7
